What is wrong with my Garmin Forerunner 305?
I have had this for a day. I took it out for a run, and when I came back I plugged it in. I left the room. When I came back, It was off the Battery Charging complete, or battery charging in progress signs were gone. I triend to turn it on, and it the title page showed up, and it turned off. I have tried turning it on (with power button, soft reset (Mode, Lap/Reset, ) Hard reset (same as soft but hit power button with it) What should I do? I was very careful with It and I have no idea what to do. I bought it at amazon.com so I cant return it at a store. How can I contact Garmin? THANKS A BUNCH!!

If you don’t have an instruction manual, you can download one from the site.

Is there anyway of prolonging the battery life of the Garmin Forerunner 405?I have a Garmin 450 forerunner, the battery seems to drain very quickly even when not in use. Is there something i can do to prevent this? You can’t actually switch it off unlike the 305.

AdminMay 12, 2009 at 6:07 AMIt would help to know just how fast it’s draining, and if it’s meeting the specifications in the manual or not.
The 405 does have shorter battery life than the 305, but is supposed to last at least a decent while when kept in standby.
Every now and then people do get a Forerunner that doesn’t seem to hold the charge, and Garmin does seem to be good about handling related warranty replacements.
